She definitely is partly at fault here but if this was an issue for him then he should have expressed that previously. It sounds like she had done this a lot and this was the first time he said no and he did it in an explosively aggressive way. He could have communicated in a much better way way earlier on instead of letting that resentment build with her not even knowing.

The problem is she herself said she ALWAYS did it. Maybe he was trying to be nice at first and switch, thinking it wasn't going to be all of the time. But to keep doing it over and over again? She's the AH.
