Counterintuitive as this may sound, him being turned away might actually signal to their target clientele that privacy and discretion is a top priority for the hotel. YouTube doesn’t signal privacy and discretion. People at that level like the feeling of exclusivity and like knowing that the gatekeepers are doing their job.

For those saying ppl who don’t like how it was handled don’t have enough to stay here. We can, we stay frequently at high end resorts like bora bora FS, Florence and Tanzania. I am disturbed that the would call police on a valid guest. We would not consider this brand after this

The irony is, if they had just let him keep his reservation, the backlash would not be this big. They may have received some criticism but nothing to this extent. I’m actually shocked at how they treated a customer, a returning one at that. Rethinking my decision to stay at any Aman location now

No i genuinely feel as if his reservation was cancelled to protect the privacy of the other guests and there’s no way he didn’t get an email. Luxury hotels will literally spam u with mail from the moment u book them to ur arrival with stuff related to the hotel and all.
