I really like how much the women are portrayed wearing practical clothes and things like headscarves (really practical and pretty when hair is unwashed or needs to be kept out of the face).

From the 1920s onward, the USSR strongly promoted women entering the workforce because Bolshevik ideology saw economic independence as women’s liberation, while rapid industrialization and later wartime losses created a huge need for additional workers. It has nothing to do with ideals it’s just a psyop for more cheap Labor in an already failing regime.
