personal opinion here but i don't think this is what caused thor to become a joke, this movie was wonderfully written with the way it plays out odin's death, thor's relationship with loki, him finding out who he is without the hammer. it has a stark contrast compared to the past thor movies which to me were gritty and not well written at times. and honestly thats what made it the best, however, they COMPLETELY ruined the story in thor love and thunder. what a waste of a wonderful actor in christian bale, it tried too hard to replicate what made ragnarok such a success.
