You have to fight this hard because nowhere in her listing she tagged the brand free people or said it was FP. Almost like she knew. Sneaky seller! The ones on Amazon are selling for $42 so she’s not profiting any $ if that’s what she’s doing. She used stock photos so you can stick to that misleading part. Don’t leave a review as that releases her funds 🥺

If you return something on Mercari, they don’t let you leave a review. So you can’t warn others unless you take the hit to leave the review.

Oh hell nah! Their customer service is pretty good especially if she listed the r brand as Free People and didn’t write dupe anywhere or anything that could prove she lied in her listing.

I was reselling during Covid and someone had a very popular reformation dress listed on Facebook marketplace. They used all the photos from reformation’s website, but when I drove there to pick it up, it was a total fake. One of those dresses that looks like the dress but it’s a printed pattern on polyester and I said to the girl why didn’t you say this was like a fake or a copy and she said oh I didn’t think it was that big of a deal? Sucks drove one hour round-trip. Wealthy or wealthy parents full service apartment building with the valet.

Make sure to open a case with Mercari and not just return it!! If you return it you can’t do anything to help other people - not even leave a review. Contact customer support!! I had to do this and it ended up getting the scammer banned
