What inspires me most about Nims Dai is not only what he achieved, but the way he lived and achieved it. Maybe because he was with us for such a short time, his presence feels even more special. From the videos and interviews I’ve watched, he always seemed so humble, full of life, fun-loving and genuinely happy. He could be seen dancing, laughing, enjoying the moment, and constantly cheering up his team. Despite achieving what many believed was impossible, he never seemed to lose his simplicity or connection with the people around him. Sadly, he left us far too soon. I truly believe he was one of the rarest people among 8 billion. His legacy is far greater than his extraordinary achievements in mountaineering. It lives on through his humility, courage, resilience, positive spirit, and the immense pride he brought to Nepal and to people around the world. My heart goes out to his wife and daughter. I cannot imagine the strength it takes to endure such a profound loss. I hope they find comfort in knowing that his life touched millions of hearts and that his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Keep climbing, wherever you are, Nims Dai.
