This is so f*cking heartbreaking. My dad took his life in our garage and my Nanny found him. I can’t even begin to fathom the pain everyone in my family felt that day. I was 4 and my brother was 2. It affects us differently now that we’re grown but imo suicide just takes one persons pain and places it to others.. I think if there wasn’t such a stigma around men’s mental health he would still be here today.

My bestfriend killed himself the same way, but was found before he was actually dead so he then lived on a vent for 2 weeks while brain dead, then they pulled the plug. I miss him every day.

My partner took his own life the same way in his parents shed with an extension cord loosing someone to suicide and like that is so beyond traumatic nearly 3 years on and I still to this day think about it numerous of times throughout the day

my brother did the same thing; fortunately i didn’t see it, but i was told that he tied his hands behind his back so that he couldn’t stop himself. that was almost 7 years ago and i miss him everyday.

i went to jr high with a kid who in grade seven came home after school and found his brother hanging from the banister. 12/13 years old. he became very quiet after that incident.

A week before my brother did himself in I had the urge to call him up and tell him to come home and I’d pay for everything to do so, I didn’t and he ended doing himself in a week later. I always and will forever think of that, tmrw will be 9 years and it still eats me up.

We are not taught to be sensitive to spiritual things, that was the spirit trying to help telling him to tell his brother not to do it but we often just ignore it but it’s so important to listen to that small voice!!😮💨😭

My best friend Homer did the same thing when we were teens. I visited him the day before and it was the best visit we had ever had. Next day I tried to visit him, his mom lived next door, I went to her house to see if he was there and she told me he did that at his aunts house from the attic. I still think of him every day.

i lost almost half of my family to suicide. my dad, uncle, grandpa, cousin, friend… list goes on. i was 13 when my dad passed, that was the worst thing ever. still to this day i hold the guilt that it’s my fault.
