I was taken to jail in Wayne Nebraska for this very thing!! The Nebraska website said my licenses had been reinstated but their computers didn’t.. I saw red😂😂😂

registration was revoked due to policy lapsing, you can still purchase insurance. But you have to go to DMV and take care of the penalties.

Folks, sounds like she didn’t have insurance at one point, registration got revoked aka not allowed to drive, she has since gotten insurance but never updated with the dmv to get the registration back in place… so it’s being towed because of the unregistered vehicle. It’s her mistake, not the state’s.

I work for an insurance company. This is completely valid. SHE did not fix the registration issue. Regardless of having insurance that doesn't mean registration is valid.

The cop is both right and wrong. He *can* tow the car for a suspended registration, but he’s not required to if the insurance is current and valid.

Just because you have a paper that has a policy number on it, doesn't mean it's active. It cancels if you don't pay your premium and then they notify the registry (dmv) that your insurance has lapsed so they suspend your registration. It's kinda simple to understand.

The cop isn’t wrong the registry may have revoked her registration due to a lapse in insurance she hay have obtained valid insurance but hasn’t taken care of the revoked registration which may require a reinstatement fee for those of u who don’t know insurance and registration are NOT the same thing u can have insurance without having a valid registration

First of all, he can’t pull you over for no insurance. He also can’t run your plate without a crime or infraction having taken place. 4th and 14th amendment violations.

It’s your responsibility to make sure your registration has insurance info. If you switch companies very often the insurance companies fail to notify the registry. You’re still partly to blame.
