@reptilesmarket: I finally feel safe to announce the newest (and possibly least impressive😂) single gene mutation in tiliqua - pink tongue shingles! Originally from a wild caught (under license) female with a purplish tongue (which I only realised on looking back at photos🤦🏻♂️), who bore a female offspring with an obvious pink tongue. This pink tongued female has produced 11 offspring of her own now, with 5 off those having pink or purplish tongues. The trait has also been passed to a third generation. I haven’t fully worked out how this is expressed as I have yet to back cross 2 pink tongued individuals, due partly the only male I have only just getting up to breeding size (and also because I sold a male I produced earlier due to a being bit of a twit and not paying much attention to tongue colours🤦🏻♂️) #tiliqua #reptiles #tiliquarugosa #goldfieldsshingleback #bobtailskink
