@jonathan_boh_6596862340: EV really cheaper to own in Singapore? 🚗⚡ One Singapore driver thought so too — but after just 6 months, he sold his EV and switched to a hybrid. Higher road tax, more expensive insurance, concerns over repair costs, and the inconvenience of waiting for charging lots at his HDB estate made him rethink the decision. EVs definitely have their advantages, but this story shows that lower electricity costs don’t necessarily mean lower overall ownership costs. Sometimes, the best car isn’t the newest technology. It’s simply the one that fits your lifestyle and daily routine. Would you choose EV, Hybrid or Petrol in Singapore today? #SingaporeCars #ElectricVehicle #EVSingapore #HybridCar #CarOwnership

Owning an EV is a totally different concept when you have one. Warranty are now 10 years. I will not be thinking of reselling my EV. It's so reliable.

How many EV buyers sell their car after 6 months of usage? You used one example to condemn the whole EV market.

this is how our government makes money. only fools get into buying EV thinking it is a long term gain. they did not realise that long term refers to more than 10 years but again you need to renew the COE. Eventually, electric charging will be more expensive than petrol if the sum is worked out in totality, exclude maintenance ( very subective)

Driving EV for 2 years already. Won't ever go back to ICE or Hybrid. And I presume many more are like me. But I don't have a story to share on newspaper, because not news worthy. Only those unusual stories does, and it doesn't represent majority.

Don't ever think of owning a car if you have the idea of saving money. 🤦🏽♂️Even if EV is cheaper, it wouldn't be long coz there will be new ways that government will take back from you. The government's message is very clear - take public transport if you can.

A car is a tool. Left or right, just follow the EV trend. It is everywhere. The savings at the end of the day will go into government’s pocket.
