Sam is Bucky coded! Here’s why: Aside from being tall, dark, and traumatized of course. Bucky never enlisted in the war, he got drafted. Sam never wanted to hunt. He went to college, met Jessica, and had law school in his future until his dad disappeared and Jessica died. Both of them fought battles they wanted no part in but the universe wasn’t kind to them. Both of them had their bodily autonomy stripped away. Bucky was brainwashed and used by hydra. Sam was led on and manipulated by Ruby in hopes of saving his brother not to mention the number of times Sam had gotten possessed by angels and demons against his own will. They both “died” and came back different. Bucky’s memories were quite literally stolen away from him. Sam went to hell for a year and lost his soul. I read an entire fic in two seconds love it! once read a Caption America Winter Solider AU where the boys take the place of cap and bucky it fallows the movie , almost perfectly. i cried whenever i had to read a Sam as bucky scene , just imagining him sitting in that chair , saying “i know him “ oh that made me cry 😭!
