I work in an acute mental health unit. We’ve already had people try to wear meta glasses into the ward. Visitors aren’t allowed to bring in phones for the protection and privacy of vulnerable patients. The Kmart dupe makes these items more accessible and I am so worried that a staff member might miss it and allow someone wearing these into the ward.

Should be legally required for meta glasses to give off a signal that notifies every mobile device nearby that there is a pair of meta glasses currently recording. Kinda like how phones can tell us if an AirTag has been following us.

In Japan the “shutter noise” in a camera/phone cannot be disabled. So even when a phone is on silent it will emit a noise to show it is taking photos. Probably something we should all consider…

I was talking to someone while working and his wife said “turn off your glasses,” and he had mentioned that he was recording. So I had been recorded having a regular interaction for about 5 minutes without knowing. I’m deeply unsettled by this kind of thing.

The videos taken on those get sent to another country to review EVERYTHING btw. Workers have reported seeing people without clothes, in the bathroom, doing the nasty, changing their kids diaper….its creepy.

earlier this week i seen a video about someone talking about 2 different dads coming attending a childs birthday party with the meta glasses on, imo if its not your kids birthday party you wouldnt really think of taking photos or recording 🤔
