Lawyer here: do not waste your time talking to them. Ask if they have a warrant and if they do not, instruct them to leave your property. If they had enough for a warrant they would have shown up with one. If they get one later, you can deal with that, bud do not do their jobs for them by answering and talking.

I think ring cameras are the best! These cops need to stop being tricky and just say what they are there for. I wouldn’t even answer the camera at that point 😂

I just don't know why they have to be so vague about everything just tell him what you're there for it's not like he's going to go anywhere you obviously don't have a warrant you can't bust in his house and if you can't ask the questions to the ring camera then you're done go home

I opened my door for a cop one time who was investigating a homeless person who was camping out on my property apparently. Thought I was helping him out. He ended up forcing his way into my house without a warrant under the premise that he smelled weed. Haven’t even said hi through the door since.
