My husband left me 7 months ago and I still don’t know where he is. He left me suspended no proper divorce, no closure, nothing. I’m still bound by a marriage while he has completely removed himself from my life, leaving me unable to simply move forward….. No woman should be left in this kind of limbo. Islam does not teach a husband to keep his wife hanging indefinitely either honour the marriage and fulfil its rights or release her with kindness.

my grand auntie once went through this. Her husband suddenly leaves her and she never knew where he was. probably her biggest test yet subhanallah, and she cries almost everyday not knowing why he left her. her life wasn't better after that and she was given more tests towards her life which I can't share. but when it was her time to come back to Allah, her body was washed and she was easy to lift, did jenazah on her on friday and everyone in the whole neighborhood and mosque prayed jenazah on her. Subhanallah. May Allah grant her Jannah
