omorrow is orientation and picture day… and I completely forgot RC needed a haircut! 🤦🏾‍♀️ A few weeks ago, a young man reached out and offered to cut RC’s hair. Of course, when I needed him, I couldn’t find the message or even remember the name of the barbershop! 😅 I did remember where it was though, so at 7:15 PM I called, hoping someone knew who I was talking about. The shop closed at 8:00 PM, and I told them I could be there by then. One of the barbers was kind enough to say he’d stay late for us. ❤️ Getting RC to agree was another story. If you’ve been following us, you know haircuts are a huge source of anxiety for him. He even asked, “Are we going to Mr. William again?” I had to explain it was too late for an appointment there. From the moment we walked in, this barber was incredible. They were playing music RC loves, and the two of them talked the entire time. RC even got excited because the trimmer was made by Lamborghini! 🏎️😂 What impressed me the most was his patience. He never rushed RC, gave him time when he moved around, and kept talking with him throughout the haircut. He asked RC what style he wanted… and RC said a mullet! 🤣 Thankfully, his hair wasn’t long enough in the back to make that happen! I absolutely LOVE how it turned out! 💙 Kindness, patience, and understanding make all the difference—especially for our kids who experience the world a little differently. Thank you for making what is usually a stressful experience such a positive one for RC. We’ll definitely be back! So… what do you think of RC’s new haircut? ✂️😍 💙 Stay positive. Stay kind.
