I’m going to educate everyone who doesn’t know what these are used for!! This is copy and pasted from one of my replies! As an autistic person literally I’m almost always chewing on something. It’s one of the ways I calm down. This is especially common for autistic children (even adults, but mostly children) who need sensory stimulation to calm down (however every person is different) and sometimes those who go through this prefer chewing. Also, this can probably help with children with pica, but I’m not entirely informed on that disorder. Also oral sensory seeking can be prevalent in anyone, I’m just saying it’s definitely more profound in neurodivergent people (specifically autistic people)!! I hope you’ve learnt something today with this comment! It’s always much better to understand how things work, rather than hating mindlessly! Have a good night! 💗💗
