Senate Pulls SURPRISE Move On CLARITY Act! Vote INCOMING 🚨 Senators PUNCH Back At Banking Lobby 🥊 August 8, 2026 🗞️ Quick update after a week of absolutely nothing we finally got some movement on the CLARITY Act. Thune filed cloture. No filing Tuesday, none Wednesday, none Thursday — and then on his way out the door for recess, he pulls the trigger. Now I want to be straight with you, because I’m seeing this oversold all over my feed. This is not a floor vote secured, and it sure isn’t passage. What it does is set up a procedural vote on whether the Senate even starts debating this thing. And that vote needs sixty. Those sixty are not there yet. Senate comes back September 11th. The first vote could land as early as the 15th. And the same two things are still standing in the way. Stablecoin yield, which the banking lobby just dragged right back into the middle of it — at least two Republican senators are saying they’ll vote no without protections for community banks. And the ethics provision, still sitting on the White House desk with no answer. But here’s the part that made me sit up. Lummis and Moreno just signed on as co-sponsors of the Credit Card Competition Act. And reporting says both of them are hot at the banking industry for stalling CLARITY and splitting their own caucus. So they went and backed the one bill the banks hate more than anything. That’s not a coincidence, guys. That’s a shot across the bow. We’re not out of the woods yet on clarity act and the prediction markets still aren’t buying it. But the bill’s teed up, and somebody in Washington finally started punching back. Not financial advice — news, educational and discussion purposes only. #CLARITYAct #CryptoNews #Senate #CryptoRegulation #BankingLobby
