There is something unique about making a new friend vs making a mum friend. It’s like you’re supposed to be an elevated version of yourself that didn’t have dirty teenage years or go to raves or used to smoke or swears. Whereas if I meet someone who isn’t a “mum friend”, my past and vulnerabilities are part of me and something we can connect over.
