Wishes Do Come True! by Ann Marie Capaljia, illustrated by Lyn Fletcher This story is one of my childhood favorites! The art in it is some of the best G3 has to offer, and it’s such a whimsical, magical tale 🥹 I’m so lucky to have gotten to grow up reading this and having it read to me! Now I get to share it with all of you ❤️ If you’ve watched Dancing in the Clouds, you may catch a few notable similarities and differences in this story. The story of Star Catcher meeting the Ponyville ponies is told about three or four different ways across MLP media, this one being my favorite printed version. Another version of this story, an I-Can-Read book called Belle of the Ball, focuses only on the first part of this book’s story, with Star Catcher meeting Twinkle Twirl and magically granting her a dress for he Best Friends’ Ball. But in the animated version of this story, we never see Star Catcher meet Twinkle Twirl first at all! Or if it does happen, it’s off-screen and not mentioned, which would make sense with how Twinkle Twirl promised not to tell, though I’m not sure that was intentional by the writers. There may also be one more telling of this story in an MLP annual, though I’d have to double-check. Which version of this story are you most familiar with? Do you have a favorite?
