just to clarify, my dad wasn’t a single dad. he had serious kidney problems and suffered a stroke, which made him almost fully bedridden. i was honestly a really rebellious kid back then. i barely listened to my dad and mom, and i didn’t realise how precious the time i had with my dad was. i spent most of my time with him while my mom worked to support our family and pay for his medication. he was later admitted to the hospital before he passed away. so yes, the story was based on real events. some details were changed, but the feelings behind it were real. to anyone who has gone through or is going through something similar, im truly sorry and my deepest condolences. please stay strong and keep going. cherish your parents and loved ones while you still can. 🤍 mohon sedekahkan al fatihah untuk abah saya , Mohamad Fauzi Bin Man 🙏🏻

I love writing story essays. I hate that my teacher previously never encouraged any of their students to write story essays. I practiced for six months before SPM and scored well in English. One time I submitted my story essay for the first time to my English teacher, and she wondered where all the imagination came from. I was the only one she allowed to write story essays in my class

Babe, the story in your essay is actually so similar to my real life 😭 My ayah was on routine dialysis too, and since I had school in the afternoon, memang I yang mostly jaga dia. Sometimes I memang penat gila and burnt out, but I was okay with it as long as ayah was healthy. then one random wed, something happened, macam heart attack or something, idk how to explain it. I balik je sekolah, baru tahu ayah dah masuk ICU. After all his children got the chance to see him, he passed away that same day,so when I read your story, it really hit different because it felt like reading something that was actually a part of my life. 😭

Essay english stories is the best... You pour your soul and let the pen dance as your thoughts become the rhythms... Each word was never meant for the mark. It was from something that have been sealed for years finally dancing on a piece of a paper.
