Just to clarify: in this map I’m counting national official languages. Some countries also have co-official/regional or officially recognized minority languages, which can make the number higher. So countries like Spain, Finland, Germany, Croatia and the Netherlands may have more languages if those are included. The numbers depend on the criteria used.
