@lauren.digitalsales: I honestly think my first maternity leave would've looked so different if I'd known about this sooner. Instead... I spent months trying to make maternity pay stretch. I was in debt. I had no savings. And I was constantly worrying about having to go back to work before I felt ready. At the time, I genuinely thought that was just how maternity leave went. I didn't realise there were things I could start learning that might give me more options. It wasn't until my second maternity leave that another mum introduced me to digital products & Canva! Think checklists, planners, invites etc At first, I assumed it wasn't for me. I thought you had to be really creative. Really good with technology. And have loads of spare time. But then I realised I could actually start with ready-made products, learn how everything worked and build my confidence before creating my own. That made it feel so much more achievable. I started as a complete beginner. No experience. No audience. No clue what I was doing. Just a mum who wanted more options and more time with her girls. Fast forward to today.. It's helped me extend my maternity leave, reduce my working hours, clear debt and create extra income from home around my girls —all because I decided to try something new.
