If the schools prepared students for these careers, the would skew the population towards conservative values. It's why the current model prefers you go to college and get indoctrinated while accumulating debt before you've earned a cent.

Why aren’t we starting the teaching and learning process of these trades much earlier in schools? We are teaching foreign languages younger and younger, why not the trades we need?

I'm 45 years old! I can say with 100% certainty that there is not any lack of skilled workers! There is a lack of jobs that pay enough money to even apply! not to mention the requirement for a degree and 2 years experience for a minimum wage entry level position.😳

Shipyards are some of the lowest paying welding I’ve ever done. Low rent here in the port of Houston. As much as I hate data centers. I’m about to cave and go weld pipe for a massive data center in a fab shop. Not even xray. Just VT

the problem the welders that are going to trade schools are not being taught how to read blueprints they only teach how to stick metal together. not read prints. until they change this it will never get better.
