i think you’re missing the point of the cameos and of peter’s arc. The cameos were there in a way that makes the MCU feel like an actual world instead of contained by character. Like yes, other heroes SHOULD be showing up in these projects, especially the way Yelena did. Spidey going to someone who has more resources for intel makes complete sense in universe. Hulk and Banner were used to explore the idea that maybe peter shouldnt be trying to suppress himself, and instead should love both the spiderman side and the peter parker side. The whole point of peter going through the mutation was because he was fully focused on his spiderman side, isolating himself and neglecting his human, peter parker side. The movie is about the consequences of self isolation and how a lot of the time people try to suppress things about themselves that they think are scary/‘not normal’. The point is to embrace your qualities and be yourself.
