well Gibson was trying to be a hero he should have been smarter than that if he's on the run it most likely they're going to pull out something so Gibson should have thought about that twice instead of running to try and be a hero

I am happy to hear good reporting of news. Making a point that a convict helped rescue a police officer. just goes to show you , you can't judge a book by its cover. All cops aren't bad.All convicts aren't bad.Don't judge the book by its cover.

On the morning of the 11th of November 2023 several officers were conducting routine patrols when they spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen a week earlier they immediately attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver quickly sped away leading officers on a pursuit during the Chase the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed into multiple cars leaving the vehicle unable to continue driving this is the body camera footage from officer Gibson as Gibson quickly got out of his patrol car the suspect had already moved behind the vehicle Gibson ordered the suspect to come out from behind the car with his hands raised now but instead the suspect suddenly opened fire on Gibson striking him in the thigh the intense pain caused Gibson to collapse and left him unable to stand fortunately his fellow officers and a brave civilian nearby rushed over and drag Gibson to a safer location point of view one officer grabbed on to Gibson's bulletproof vest and tried to pull him away for one person to move alone thankfully a Fearless bystander step forward and help carry the injured officer to safety after the incident investigators learned that the civilian who helped save Gibson's life was actually a convicted felon who had only been released from prison to years earlier

The officer shouldn't just go near any suspects to avoid situations like that... he should take cover, and wait till that man go out and more visible...
