Adedapo Adeyemi-Bajo :
Let’s take a deeper look at the concept of *"Ori". I think many of us don’t fully understand the difference between religion, spirituality, and our culture of communicating directly with our Creator, Eledumare. The Yoruba language, in its depth, is a heavenly language. It carries spiritual power and vibration. When spoken, the universe hears and responds to bring it into manifestation. We’ve missed this because we lack understanding.
Your Ori is the God in you — His Spirit.
That’s why the Bible says, _"You are gods."_When you call upon your Ori, what you’re seeking is alignment with your life’s journey.
Your Ori is like the temple of God. Just as Christ lives in you — not in a house made by man, but in your spirit-man.
So calling upon Ori for alignment and the establishment of your destiny is not fetish. It’s an understanding of who you are. What religion has turned into fetish is the lack of understanding of this path.
It’s as simple as saying, _“Ori mi ko ni buru”_and we respond, Amen
We should learn to honor the God in us, which is Ori.It syncs with any religion that believes we are spiritual beings, always seeking relationship with the Powerhouse:God, the Light and Creator of all living things in us.
