Florida electrician Shaun Runyon, 44, has been convicted of three counts of first-degree m*rder after prosecutors said he carried out a calculated rampage against his co-workers in October 2021. The violence began after Runyon and his supervisor, 41-year-old Kevin Lanusse, got into a fight at a worksite. After punching Lanusse, Runyon reportedly left — but instead of staying away, he drove about 70 miles to Tampa International Airport, abandoned his work vehicle, rented a car and went to Target to buy a baseball bat. He already had a knife. Runyon later returned to a house rented by the company, where several contract electricians were staying. Authorities said he knew the men would be asleep after working overnight. Armed with the bat and knife, he attacked four of the seven residents. Lanusse was hospitalized but later passed away, while Kevin Lanusse, 41, Dewlon “Dew” Donell, 46, and Gregory Dolezal, 41, were all ultimately listed among the three victims. Investigators said Runyon even tried to cover his tracks by adjusting a security camera near the back door after entering the residence. According to authorities, he admitted bringing the bat into Lanusse’s room and beating him until he saw brain matter. A fourth victim survived, while a family of three, including a 7-year-old child, escaped unharmed. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described Runyon as a “cold-blooded, calculated” attacker and said his confession indicated he intended to k!ll all three victims. Runyon was also convicted of attempted second-degree mrder. Prosecutors are seeking the deth penalty, with the penalty phase scheduled to begin Sept. 16. Do you think the decision to seek the de*th penalty is justified? #TrueCrime #CrimeNews #FloridaCrime #CourtCase #TikTokNews
