Jesus Himself said, "The Father is greater than I." (John 14:28)
Regarding the status of Jesus and his statement "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30):
Being "one" does not mean being one in essence, but rather being one in purpose, will, and message.
When a messenger or prophet carries the message of God, his will becomes identical to God's will. Doing work according to God's will is metaphorically referred to here as being "one."
Speaking about the Day of Judgment, Jesus said, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Mark 13:32)
Jesus prayed to God in many places. God and the one praying to God are two distinct entities
