So Claude Code CAN build AR apps… The first version of my AR app worked. But honestly, it barely took advantage of AR. It put Ellie’s tasks in front of me, but I wasn’t really using the space around me yet. So with time left in my 24-hour challenge, I decided to see how far I could push it. I started with Ellie’s task timer. Instead of another button on a screen, I turned it into a 3D hourglass I could place on the table. Tap it, and it flips over and starts the timer. Then I added Luna 🐶 I gave Claude Code a photo of her, the workflow generated several 3D versions, and then used Blender to refine the best one. But this definitely wasn’t a one-prompt build. I rejected the first Luna, tested five more, rebuilt the task card, made the timer flow easier to understand, and fixed a DONE button that looked clickable but initially did nothing 🥲 The final version lets me start a task by flipping the hourglass. When I finish the task, the interface disappears and Luna falls asleep beside it. The biggest surprise wasn’t that agentic coding made every decision for me. It didn’t. It gave me a much faster starting point inside a completely unfamiliar platform, so I could spend the rest of the time testing ideas and deciding what the experience should actually become. I built and tested the complete experience in Lens Studio Preview in less than 24 hours. #softwaredeveloper #coding #augmentedreality
