For the towels for temporary storage, maybe a large tub with lid from Bunnings, you can then stack them sorted in which ever way makes you happy, and either get some stickers to write on and slap on the tub or just write on the tub.

When we do this in 6 months, if my partner says anything about my hair or beauty products (especially as a former hairdresser) I will be marching him out to the shed to have a look at all his tooling before he picks the next words to say out loud 😂🫣

Vacuum bags for winter bedspreads, seldom used linen help in a small house. At lease you could do all the towels you don’t use on a regular basis and they will store dry, clean and take up less room.
