my stepfather lost his vision in 1 eye as a teen from injury. later in life a stroke has took 90 percent of his other. he is older and trying to stay independent and doing amazing with that. but hobbies that once was Mr fixer. always tinkering.. I no longer know what to get him. his biggest struggle is time occupation. I live 1800 miles away so I can't physically go like I wish. I simply can't visit monthly. Any suggestions for hobbies, activities for fun. besides music and audio books. access outside home limited. he might get out every couple weeks. haircut etc.

I love coming across accounts like yours! ❤️I’m a 32-year-old RN and legally blind. I lost my vision at 8 years old while battling an autoimmune disease. I would absolutely love to learn more about devices you recommend that could help me with everyday tasks, both at home and at work. Although I may not be what most people picture when they think of someone who is blind, I still face challenges with certain tasks. I’m always looking for new tools and technology that could make my daily life a little easier and help me be more independent!
