I think there should've been a prior discussion on how the trip was gonna go... Seems like she had no idea you were thinking on leaving her on her own for that long, that would upset me too if it wasn't planned at all

No but you should have been more specific on you have no time frame. But now she knows . I’ll beat she a city girl. They don’t do good in the country. Tell her you want her to go with you she can take swimming lessons. Or stay home and do a girl weekend.

yes your the asshole my wife can't swim and also doesn't like the water but you took her out there and left her by herself.Saying she could wear a life jacket is ridiculous if your terrified of water.
