It's understandable what you've said, but on second thought, when you mentioned, "What would ₦800k buy in your studio?" it didn't make sense to me. The reason is simple: you don't buy new equipment after every recording, do you? Another point is that you're comparing artists, who usually have a lot more expenses, to producers, who generally have fewer expenses. To me, that comparison doesn't make sense either. the advice you gave to artist to find a producer on thier level is valid by the way.

800k can get you a full studio setup with a laptop. 1. Get your laptop, soundcard, mic, headphone and speaker ( Any for a start). 2. YouTube will teach you, how you can record yourself and how to do minor editing. 3. record on as many free beats as you can. improve your skills, as long as you have a studio and you become a studio rat in your own studio, you'll grow by 90% 4. put yourself out there, upload videos. producers will give you free beats. not just in Nigeria, in SA, Ghana, US, France and UK. Get studio, practice daily, post online and see how music becomes easy and sweet with less spending on production cost.
