I didn’t listen, bought it anyway, and now I’m genuinely concerned that having this much fun might be bad for my health. For anyone not familiar with bag builders, it's a game where you acquire stuff to put into your bag, which acts just like a deck of cards. You draw those tokens out to perform actions. The more high-quality chips you add while purging the meh stuff, the more efficient and rewarding your turns become. Take that mechanic, pair it with a round-the-table rondel card drafting phase, and use those token draws for battle. Drafting gets your troops onto the board and chips into your bag, and then the real fight begins. The internet was right on this one, it’s literally Quacks on steroids. It takes that delightful, push-your-luck bag-building loop and cranks up the drama, swing, and unpredictability, all in the best ways possible. Sure, a bad draft or terrible pull will punish you, but the actual process of building your bag, tuning your draws, and crafting your combat strength is ridiculously fun. Plus, the theme, jaw-dropping art, and table presence are unbelievable. It’s one of those rare games where you don't even care if you lose.
