My daughter never ceases to amaze me. ❤️We were so caught off guard during her video, but it didn’t matter, hearing the things she said about her brother touched a place in my heart that I didn’t even know needed healing. Her words reminded me that somehow, through all the years of worrying if I was doing enough, I must have done something right. Having my daughter so young came with a lot of expectations and judgment. I felt like I had to prove myself as a mother to work harder, do more, and be better than anyone expected me to be. I even went to school to learn how to be the best mother I could possibly be. I gave so much of myself to making sure my children had everything they needed to grow into good, kind, loving people. But watching them love each other makes every sacrifice worth it. One of my greatest comforts in this life is knowing that when I’m no longer here to protect them, they’ll have each other. They’ll have someone who remembers where they came from, someone who understands their hearts, someone to call when they need a piece of home. They will never truly be alone. My daughter has grown into a woman who is kind, compassionate, and so incredibly loving, and I couldn’t be prouder of her. My son is lucky to have her, and I am beyond blessed to call them both mine. They slow me down every day and remind me just how rich my life really is. I look at them and realize that all I ever wanted, to raise good humans with beautiful hearts, was right in front of me all along. I don’t know what I did to deserve them, but I’m thankful for them every single day. They are my greatest accomplishment, my greatest blessing, and the absolute loves of my life. ❤️thank you all for your support and love towards our little family. It means the world to us 🫶🏻
