@weatherchannel: Three years ago today, on August 8, 2023, hurricane-fueled winds drove a catastrophic wildfire through Lahaina, Maui, resulting in the deadliest U.S. wildfire in over a century. The disaster scorched more than 2,170 acres, destroyed over 2,200 structures, mostly residential homes, and tragically claimed 102 lives. On this solemn anniversary, we honor the memory of those who were lost and stand with the Maui community as they rebuild.
