You came with receipts? Ronaldo has over 1900 successful dribbles despite reducing his dribbling output after 2013/14. Ronaldo in 2009/10 had 105 successful dribbles in 35 club matches, where are the “receipts” you speak of? Clearly receipts and facts say that Ronaldo had a great output. Your arguments can be easily refuted or proven to have no value. First of all you decided to claim that clips of Ronaldo showboating doesn’t usually end up in actually completing the dribble has no value. Clips are not equally distributed to everyone. All you have to do is search Ronaldo dribbling and you can plausibly find him getting past players. For example Ronaldo Vs Pique 2012/13 or Ronaldo Vs Pique 2010 world cup. You brought up Messi which is completely irrelevant here, this is a discussion regarding Ronaldo’s dribbling quality not what his general output is compared to Messi, anyways, you spread misinformation which really shows your “receipts” and knowledge you have. Ronaldo doesn’t have just 8, he has 37, does Messi have more? Absolutely but again that is irrelevant. It isn’t surprising that Messi with more matches has 103 more successful dribbles when factoring in context. Ronaldo played 2 world cups before injury caused style change, Ronaldo was injured in 2014 World Cup, yet he completed dribbles, was Portugal’s best player and got higher G+A ratio than Messi in a harder group. It’s plausible to say that Ronaldo played well to his standards considering the fact that he was injured. His performance was statistically good either way. He wasn’t much of a dribbler in 2018 he performed well. 2006 - 19 successful dribbles, 2010 - 10 successful dribbles, 2014 - 3 successful dribbles (injured), 2018 - 5 successful dribbles, 2022 - 0 successful dribbles, 2026 - 0 succesful dribbles. Why are you using the world cup in the first place? World cup isn’t a perfect competition not even the best in football. It has 4 year cycle which messes some things up and even when it lands on a player’s prime they might be injured for example Ronaldo 2014, Ronaldo 2018 had 5 in 4.
