Honestly, America is fooling Americans by telling them they are “First world country”. I suggest Americans to travel to see things. Here in Asian countries, you will be surprised by how everything is accessible and fast . The healthcare system , transportation, living standards etc .

In S. Korea, my glasses broke and I went to a shop to get new ones. I got a pair within the HOUR. The doctor apologized and said it would be expensive. y'all it was $60USD

My dad lost his glasses in MX. We walked into an eye doctor’s office, got an eye exam and glasses for him for $100 . The whole process took less than 2 hours.

first time I got prescription glasses in Canada, I was so confused why I had to wait 1-2 weeks. in the Philippines, it was always same day, fastest was 1-2 hours. 🤷♀️🤷♀️ordering from Zenni was faster than ordering from a physical eyeglass store.
