My ADHD doesn’t help.. every day I wake up and say todays the day and as the morning becomes the afternoon and Into the evening I then say stuff it and eat.. I think being abused when younger doesn’t help and other things

i am currently overeating. I just asked: What is my body seeking relief from today? It is being pushed into doing something i didn't want to do. Thank you. I feel relief now

My body was apparently seeking regular meals, protein, fiber, and water. When I focused on those my food noise and cravings went almost fully away.

I always wondered why chewing the food and spitting it out just wasn’t satisfying - because your vagus nerve is stimulated by swallowing.

Thanks! The bit when you say about the small wins really helped. I hate feeling like a failure each time I binge. But I do notice all of those little wins you mention. I often pause, I sometimes log the calories, I stay present, I get back on the track the next day even if I feel shame, I try to be kind to myself. If these are part of the healing then maybe I am okay, it just takes time.

This might be the best video on this topic. ALSO eating actual meals with fiber during the day also helps my primitive brain not feel so depleted and needing to binge at the end of the day. I think letting myself get too hungry affects my nervous system more than I realized

This is the first video that makes sense. When my nervous system is regulated I don't go for the binge. With Autism discipline never worked so this is a much better idea to focus on staying regulated and the binges won't come knocking 🥰
