Moral of the story, not happy with Singapore, just go. No one's stopping you. Otherwise, be grateful. Things could have gone wrong numerous times the last 61 years. As it is, I love Singapore what it is now.

Saw comments below. Someone pointed out the valuable contributions of other pioneer leaders. Yes this person is correct. As I always say, SG had an A-team during those nation building years. Just like in Europe, the strength of old money held up the economies of some European cnty, the same is true for SG. The first gen leaders (1G) laid a fabulous foundation for the success of SG which continued thro the leadership that followed thereafter. The leaders thereafter merely provided the "maintenance", meaning trying hard to keep the cnty in top shape. What I am saying is I agree with the commenters below, and that is, SG is not built by one single person. That's not possible, it's A-class teamwork. Up till now, what amazed me was even as other team mates were equally top brainers, they didn't contest LKY's leadership, showing that they were selfless enough to put aside the male ego for the larger purpose of turning SG around. We can only pray that hopefully the 4G and our future leaders would do the same and stick to this spirit of letting each best person to do his job, and do it well😇.
