Thing you've gotta remember aswell is Master Chief in the games is crazy nerfed. Canonically he's significantly stronger, mother fucker can deflect missiles with his bare hands, throw tanks and even punched a banshees out of the air.

Probably because you just beat combat evolved as a grown man and didn’t grow up playing halo. Growing up he was the only faceless, alien murdering, super space soldier, cool voice having bad ass we needed.

Also fun fact, according to the book that covers the first game, he spends the entire timed chaffed like you wouldn’t believe. You’re supposed to be naked in Cryo sleep. Even wearing an arm band will leave you BLISTERED, dry, and full of pain where that arm band was. Our boy had to get in quick, and the armor doesn’t come off easy. So the ENTIRE first game, Chief is having like, the worst fucking morning.

and its not even that chief is special. in spartan terms hes, average. But its the fact that he isnt the best, and yet continues to fight and persevere through the overwhelming odds. And as long as they never give him a Canon face. We're all master chief, or Noble 6. we arent special but working through the worst of it helps us live through the best of it.

imagine it’s 2001, you’re 10 and you’re playing Pokemon on 32bit gameboy advance. But then a game is released on this super cool new console about a super soldier that goes out to beat up religious space aliens and blow up their ships to save the world along with a little blue ai companion. They call you the demon. You shoot cool space guns, fly alien ships and save the world all while saying almost nothing. lol It was the coolest game of its time. Halo 2’s story is def very good, one of my favs! Recommend continuing the story until H3. H3 ODST and Reach are pretty cool too! Anything else story wise is garbo :)
