BLUEBERRY BOY-BAIT Ingredients • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour • 1 1/2 cups sugar • 2/3 cup butter or margarine • 2 teaspoons double-acting baking powder • 1 teaspoon salt • 2 eggs, separated • 1 cup milk • 1 cup drained blueberries (fresh, frozen, or canned) Instructions 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and lightly flour a 12×8×2-inch baking pan. 2 Sift the flour and sugar together into a large mixing bowl. 3 Cut in the butter or margarine until the mixture resembles small peas. 4 Measure out 3/4 cup of this crumb mixture and set it aside for the topping. 5 Add the baking powder, salt, egg yolks, and milk to the remaining crumb mixture. Beat on low speed with an electric mixer for 3 minutes, until well blended. 6 In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff but not dry.
