my dad's side pressured my mom into marrying him after an accidental pregnancy (she was 19 he was 28) she picked the first dress she tried because she didn't care what she wore, the day of my dad's sisters were so focused on getting ready the whole family forgot to help my mom get ready and had to get herself ready alone 15 min before walking down the aisle (2 months postpartum) and had to yell at them because they wouldn't let the flower girl wear a sweater for a MN late October OUTDOOR wedding. she's not smiling in a single photo and remembers they day as one of her darkest days. she was miserable when she accidentally got pregnant with me 3 years later and thankfully divorced him before I was 2 and thrived as a single mother for a decade. her mom was the only one who tried to convince her to stop the wedding but my dad's side are expert manipulators. I wish she had stopped the wedding
