She doesn’t understand what you’re saying. She doesn’t live in your world (reality) anymore. So you have to enter her world.

Get her some of her favorite music. Make playlists of what she listened to when she was a child. Try headphones. And then keep her hands busy. Try a babydoll or crochet if she knows how to do it. But please don’t debate anymore. She will stay agitated.

She definitely could have a UTI. My mom has dementia and she had a UTI we didn’t know about and she was so delusional and seeing things that was not there.

As a hospice and senior caregiver of dementia patients, always go along with there story. They will never overstand what's really happening. Just reassure her she is safe and yall will go wherever she wants to go in a few minutes. Sundown syndrome will never stop, take her for a ride or to the store, etc yo tire her out.
