My husband never tightened the straps. No matter how many times I reminded him. Now I check my toddler after he puts her in the seat and he gets so mad, he’s started doing it on his own 🙄

One time my fiance didn’t buckle out daughter in her car seat at all and I realized when we got home from the store. He blamed worrying about something he put on the roof of the car as a distraction like 😐 why was that more important than our baby!? She had fallen asleep and was basically folded in half 😭 now I always make sure the kids are properly buckled in because I don’t trust him 🥲

I’m so grateful that my husband is as much of a stickler for car seat safety as I am! He ripped his mom a new ass because she was lowkey accusing us of harming our baby because “the straps are too tight” and “the chest buckle is hurting him”. My mother in law is currently not allowed to take him anywhere in her car because we don’t want her bypassing my sons safety because “he looks uncomfortable”

I drove my mom to the hospital to visit a relative with my two month old, and she said she’d put her in the car. She buckled her in the car seat, and just sat it on the back seat. I had no idea until I went to get her out, and she was perplexed that I was so angry about “a little mistake”.
