@vertigodubai: Today I had a choice. I could go enjoy the rain or I could go to Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain and chase the sandstorm. Of course, I chose the sandstorm. I was watching the conditions and calculating the wind, and everything looked right. When I reached the top of Jebel Hafeet, the wind was already crazy. Then I saw it. A huge wall of sand coming towards me. A Haboob. Honestly, I was speechless. It looked like a scene straight out of The Mummy. A massive wall of sand slowly moving across the landscape and swallowing everything in its path. Seeing something like this with your own eyes is completely different. I knew it was coming towards me, but watching it get closer and closer was something I will never forget. And then it hit. Suddenly I was completely surrounded by sand. Sand all over me, all over my camera and everywhere I looked. For a few minutes, it genuinely felt like I was standing inside a movie. This is why I love storm chasing. You never really know what you are going to experience until you are standing right there in the middle of it. #StormChasing #Haboob #sandstorm #AlAin #uaeweather
