i understand this is like meant to be a parallel to our world but like... those people DID experience their friends blipped. the 'thanos was right' movement in the canon is probably because of people whos abusers came back. people who were better off in their jobs because if the blip. people who's burdensome family or cruel friends disappeared and made their life better. yeah its morally wrong to be on the side of mass murder, but its totally understandable that a group with that mentality would grow
