My ferritin is 23 and I’m being told it’s normal? Meanwhile hair is falling out, breathless, feel like I’m dragging my body around, seeing stars, finding it hard to parent, no energy to cook, heart palpitations, daily migraines and just feel like I’m unable to function.. my iron has been sat around 30 nearly all my life since a teen.. and now it’s gone to 23 and they’re telling me it’s normal.. when pregnant it went down to 19 then 11 and I had an iron infusion but I had to fight for it.. then it went to 70 something and now a year on after my baby it’s back at 23

My ferritin was an 18 three weeks ago. I’ve taken lactoferrin EVERY DAY since and yesterday my ferritin came back at 40! Doubled in 3 weeks!!

Wow. Mine is at 3. Literally 3. For years my doctors have just been saying take iron supplements. Until I ended up in the ER and they tested a full iron panel.

My ferritin was a 4 for years! My doctor said it’s normal. Despite all my issues with it. Said no to referring me to an infusion. So I paid out of pocket and my ferritin is now 132.

My ferritin was at 24 in April and I was like let me lock in with iron supplements, took them consistently for 3 months and now it’s 11 and my saturation is low too they thought I’m losing blood but nothing has proved that, now need a colonoscopy + endoscopy to see if there’s an absorption issue somewhere !
