The Plant-Based Problem :
I don't mean this as a "gotcha" but the paper most people cite when they make this claim doesn't even include insects in the calculations whatsoever and still concludes grass fed meat harms half as many animals as a vegan diet. If you want to reduce your harm as much as possible why wouldn't you go that route, or at least respect people who do?

FYI avoid McDonald’s new fried apple pie. Google states it’s made with an animal ingredient L cysteine claims it’s not vegan friendly.

Having your own personal farm, plus hunting and fishing does less harm to both animals and the environment than veganism does. Veganism is certainly better than grocery store meat shopping though.

I don’t understand the race to villainise vegans, if someone said they drove an electric car because it’s better for the environment or they only bought clothes that were made without slave labour nobody would bat an eye but the second a vegan says they dont eat animal products everyone wants to debunk or debate or prove that somehow it’s racist or immoral or ableist😭 I think it comes from people deep down knowing that being vegan is kind of morally superior but it’s easier to act like it’s not than accept that you could be a better person by avoiding animal products
