@thechrishinton: What does your relationship need from you right now—not what the loudest voice in your head wants? Learning to step out of the classmate and become the teacher can completely change how you show up in your relationships. #relationshipadvice #selfawareness #selfleadership #emotionalintelligence #relationships

People who still struggle with finding the teacher. The teacher asks questions and is curious. It doesn’t have to get something fixed right now. The teacher can pause and listen with their ears. That is who your teacher is.

i just hate how hard it is nowadays to love and be loved
everyday a thousand things try to kill you, yet you still have to sacrifice your left power to even have a relationship

But what if you’re the only one asking these questions for the betterment of the relationship and your partner never thinks like this and doesn’t really care to think better or try to improve themselves for their relationship🥺

This is an incredibly deep and intelligent analogy. Very well thought out. I wish most people used this type of thoughtfulness when it came to relationships.

The garden.. that was how I explained to my daughter why I had to leave. I was the only one tending the garden we said we'd tend together. Interestingly, irl, literally the garden I was cultivating (he kept the house) is overgrown and ugly now that I'm no longer there to tend it...literally.

I am talking about a relationship with a roommate and I have properly requested some boundaries and she doesn’t respect them. I can lovingly forgive and I don’t forget the incident because I want to learn from it. I don’t throw them up because I want to be repetitive I just have to remind them that this behavior is being repeated and it is hurtful to our relationships as roommate.
